STANFORD, Calif. – Senior Ali Baiocco was named a second team All-American, the IWLCA announced Tuesday.
It is the first career All-America honor for the attacker, who becomes the 11th Cardinal player, and first since 2018, to secure the honor. Stanford now has 16 total All-America awards all-time.
Baiocco led the Pac-12 and was second in the nation with 6.25 points per game. The Harding, New Jersey, native also led the league and ranked 10th nationally with 4.17 goals per game and was third in the conference with 2.08 assists per game. She had four game-winning goals on the season and twice scored eight goals in a game in 2021 – a school record.
A two-time Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week in 2021, Baiocco was a top-25 candidate for the Tewaaraton Award. She ranks second in program history in points (238) and goals (167), and third in career assists (71).
Stanford finished the 2021 season with the best win percentage in program history (.916), captured both the Pac-12 regular season and tournament titles and made its 10th appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
