A pair of Stanford women's golfers were named All-Americans by Golfweek on Friday. Rachel Heck was honored on the first team, while Angelina Ye was listed on the third team, despite being Golfstat's No. 2 ranked player in the country.
Heck, a freshman from Memphis, Tenn., won six times and became Stanford's first NCAA individual national champion. She became the third woman in NCAA history to sweep the postseason, winning the Pac-12, Regionals and NCAA Championships. Her 69.72 scoring average set a new NCAA record. Ye, a sophomore from Shanghai, China, finished Top 11 in all nine events and turned in four Top-5 performances. She became just the fifth Cardinal to finish Top 3 at the NCAA Championships and her 71.36 scoring average was the third-best in school history.
