OMAHA, Neb. – Stanford men's swimming and diving saw several strong performances on Sunday, with the US Diving Team Trials concluding, and the US Swimming Team Trials opening.
Noah Vigran, an All-American and Pac-12 champion this season, finished 12th in the final of the 3-meter springboard to conclude a strong season on the boards. Vigran finished with a score of 1063.45.
In Omaha, Neb., at the swimming trials, Stanford was led by Grant Shoults in the 400m free. The redshirt senior finished 17th in the semifinals in 3:51.52. He was followed by Preston Forst, who finished 18th 3:52.71, and incoming freshman Matt Fenlon was 42nd (4:00.49).
Daniel Roy led the way for the Cardinal in the 100m breast, finishing 23rd in the prelims (1:01.49). Rick Mihm won his heat of the 400m IM in 4:25.31 to finish 22nd overall.
Stanford will be represented tomorrow in the 100m back and 200m free.
