Day Two in the Books

OMAHA, Neb. – Three top 35 finishes in the 200m free led Stanford men's swimming on Monday at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

Rising sophomore Preston Forst led the way for the Cardinal by placing 22nd in the prelims with a 1:49.08. He was followed by Luke Maurer (1:49.71) and Grant Shoults (1:49.88) in 30th and 33rd, while Will Macmillan swam 1:50.75.

In the 100m back, Shane Blinkman was the top athlete from Stanford by finishing 38th (55.77). He was followed by Alex Boratto (56.04) and Aaron Sequeira (56.40).

The Olympic Trials continues tomorrow with the prelims of the 200m fly during the morning session.
