Four All-American Sailors

STANFORD, Calif. – Four Stanford sailors have earned All-America recognition, as announced by the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA). The Cardinal has had at least four All-Americans in each of the last two seasons.

Michelle Lahrkamp, the 2020 Quantum National Women's Sailor of the Year, was the runner up for the top award in 2021 but still earned All-America women's skipper accolades as well as honorable mention All-America status as a coed skipper. The sophomore now boasts three All-America honors in her two seasons on The Farm.

Sammy Pickell earns her second-straight ICSA All-America crew award, after earning the honor a year ago as a sophomore. Pickell joined Lahrkamp with the Robert M. Allan Jr. trophy as the highest placing pair in the B-division at the Coed National Championships.

Telis Athanasopoulos Yogo was named All-American coed skipper after a career-best year on the water. The junior helped lead Stanford to second place at the ICSA Coed National Championships in the A-division, and fifth at the Team Race National Championships.

Patricia Gerli tallies her first All-America award with an honorable mention women's crew selection. Gerli raced at the Coed and Team Race National Championships, joining Athanasopoulos Yogo with a sixth-place A-division result at the coed regatta.

Stanford finished in the top five in each of the three national championships this season, and swept the PCCSC championships.
