All-College World Series Selections

STANFORD, Calif. – After helping to guide Stanford to its 17th College World Series appearance this year, senior Tim Tawa (second base) and sophomore Brock Jones (outfield) earned spots on the College World Series All-Tournament team.

Tawa hit .400 over the three games in Omaha, finishing with three runs scored, a double, a homer and a stolen base. The native of West Linn, Ore. collected a double as part of a 3 for 6 game against Arizona in an elimination game on June 21.
 
Jones managed a pair of three-hit games to finish off his time at TD Ameritrade Park. The Fresno, Calif. native batted .429 overall with three runs scored, two doubles, two homers and eight RBIs. Jones went 3 for 6 with two runs scored, a double, a homer and five RBIs in the win over Arizona on June 21. He added another double and home run against Vanderbilt on June 23, finishing 3 for 4.
 
Stanford as a team hit .319 with seven doubles and five home runs while at the College World Series.
