SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Stanford men's tennis sent four student-athletes to the UCSB Classic, combining for six victories against a plethora of California schools. Aryan Chaudhary, Alex Lee, Anders Matta and Dean Stratakos saw action for the first time this season.
Chaudhary competed in the A flight, going 2-2 with wins over opponents from Loyola Marymount and Cal Poly. Lee was in the B flight, where he also finished 2-2 with victories against New Mexico and Cal Poly. The two teamed up in the top doubles flight, but finished 0-2 on the weekend.
Matta made his collegiate debut, including his first-career win also over an opponent from Cal Poly in the C division. Stratakos also competed in the C flight, picking up his first win of the campaign over a foe from Loyola Marymount.
Stanford returns to action Oct. 13-17 at ITA Regionals, hosted by St. Mary's.
