Santa Barbara Bound

- Stanford continues its fall slate with the UCSB Classic, while simultaneously finishing up action at the ITA All-American event. The tournament starts Friday morning and runs through Sunday afternoon.
- The Cardinal will battle opponents from Cal, Cal Poly, UCLA, Pepperdine, LMU, USF, New Mexico, BYU, St. Mary's and the host, UC Santa Barbara.
- Stanford had four players ranked in the preseason ITA rankings, led by Arthur Fery at No. 48 and followed by Axel Geller (60), Alexandre Rotsaert (100) and Tristan Boyer (112). The doubles pair of Fery and Rotsaert is slotted at No. 59, while freshman Max Basing is the 10th-ranked newcomer.
- The Cardinal finished the 2020-21 season as Pac-12 champions in men's tennis for the first time since 2015, while the title was the program's first in outright fashion since 2003. The Cardinal went 11-6 on the season with a 6-1 mark in Pac-12 play, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Charlottesville, Virginia.
- Arthur Fery and Axel Geller return as All-Pac-12 selections from a year ago, while Geller also earned CoSIDA Academic All-America distinction.
