STANFORD, Calif. – Competing at home for the first time since Oct. 2-3, Stanford sailing swept the PCCSC Women's Championship and the PCCSC Women's Team Race Championship this weekend at Redwood Shores.

The Cardinal won the opening regatta on Saturday afternoon by 102 points, besting competition from Hawaii, California, UCLA and UC Santa Barbara. Stanford won all three divisions, with the A-Division sailors combining for just 20 points: Michelle Lahrkamp, Stephanie Houck, Patricia Gerli and Gwendolyn Donahue. Berta Puig, Grace Austin, AnaClare Sole and Ashton Borcherding put up 40 points in Division B, while Hannah Freeman, Abigail Tindall and Sammy Pickell scored 29 points in Division C.

All three divisions sailed simultaneously for 10 races, with Stanford claiming the winning boat in all 10 and the top two boats in nine.

The momentum carries into Sunday's team race action, where Stanford was a perfect 7-0 to earn the title. Lahrkamp, Houck and Freeman skippered for the Cardinal, while Gerli, Sole, Tindall, Donahue and Pickell saw time as crews. Stanford swept the opening round with the top two boats in all four matchups, and the top three in three of the four, and finished a perfect 1-2-3 in each of the second round battles.

The Cardinal continues its fall season Nov. 6-7 with the ICSA Singlehanded Championship in Seattle and the Gaucho Fall Team Race at UC Santa Barbara.
