Beaten by the Broncos

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Hitting the road for the first time this season, Stanford men's basketball fell on the road, 88-72, Friday night at the Leavey Center.

Harrison Ingram continued his strong start to the season with 19 points and six rebounds, while classmate Maxime Raynaud pitched in his first-career double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, along with a co-team-best four assists. Michael O'Connell added 13 points, four assists and four steals, while Isa Silva tallied 12 points.

After Stanford scored the game's first five points, the Broncos made a 21-0 run to pull in front. The Cardinal managed to cut the deficit to six in the first half, 30-24, after a layup from Spencer Jones, but the Broncos left for the half leading 45-32.

Santa Clara continued its hot shooting from beyond the 3-point line in the second half to cement its win. Ingram scored 11 points in the second frame, while Silva chipped in nine.

The Cardinal returns to action on Monday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. against San Jose State. The contest will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks.
