#9 Baylor Pulls Away from Men’s Basketball

WACO, Texas – After a competitive first half, Stanford men's basketball came up short in a loss to No. 9/8 Baylor, 86-48, on Saturday afternoon at the Ferrell Center.

Spencer Jones and Jaiden Delaire led the team with 10 points each, while Jones tied a career-high with eight rebounds. Harrison Ingram was the game's leading rebounder with nine, with Stanford (3-2) ending the day with a 32-31 advantage on the glass. Nine different players scored for the Cardinal.

Stanford held an early lead in the first half, 9-8, and kept the game tied at the 14-minute mark in the opening frame at 21-21 after back-to-back baskets from Noah Taitz. The Bears (4-0) ended the first half on a 13-7 run to take a 34-28 lead into the second half.

The Cardinal gave up a large run to open the second half, missing its first 10 field goal attempts of the period. Baylor tallied 12 steals in the second frame to cement its result.

Stanford returns home to Maples Pavilion for a 7 p.m. tilt on Tuesday, Nov. 23 with North Carolina A&T. The action will be broadcast on Pac-12 Network.
