ITA Fall Championships On Deck

- Stanford wraps up the fall campaign starting tomorrow with the ITA Fall Championships in San Diego.
- Arthur Fery leads the charge as Stanford's singles representative, entering the event as the No. 2 overall seed, trailing only Washington's Clement Chidekh, who Fery beat to win the ITA Northwest Super Regional a week ago. Fery opens with Jordan Hasson from Oklahoma.
- Fery joins with Alexandre Rotsaert in doubles as the No. 4 overall seed, while Max Basing and Timothy Sah will also compete in the doubles bracket. Fery and Rotsaert will face Arkansas' pair of Pinto & Trione in round one, while Basing and Sah take on Slump and Motl from Middle Tennessee State.
- The program has competed in four events this fall, the All-American Championships, the UCSB Classic, the ITA Regional Championships, and the ITA Super Regional championships, the last of which was won by Fery in singles and the duo of Fery and Rotsaert in doubles.
- Stanford had four players ranked in the preseason ITA rankings, led by Arthur Fery at No. 48 and followed by Axel Geller (60), Alexandre Rotsaert (100) and Tristan Boyer (112). The doubles pair of Fery and Rotsaert is slotted at No. 59, while freshman Max Basing is the 10th-ranked newcomer.
- The Cardinal finished the 2020-21 season as Pac-12 champions in men's tennis for the first time since 2015, while the title was the program's first in outright fashion since 2003. The Cardinal went 11-6 on the season with a 6-1 mark in Pac-12 play, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Charlottesville, Virginia.
- Arthur Fery and Axel Geller return as All-Pac-12 selections from a year ago, while Geller also earned CoSIDA Academic All-America distinction.
