STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford men's tennis has announced its spring schedule, which features 10 matches at Taube Family Tennis Center. The Cardinal had a flurry of strong performances over the fall slate, and will look to repeat as Pac-12 Champions after earning the outright title a year ago.
Arthur Fery begins the spring slate ranked No. 7 in singles nationally, while the doubles pairs of Fery and Alexandre Rotsaert and Max Basing and Timothy Sah are ranked No. 8 and No. 31, respectively. The opening set of team rankings will come in early January.
Stanford opens with duals at home against San Francisco (Jan. 12) and Pepperdine (Jan. 21), with a brief tournament in-between at the Sherwood Championships (Jan. 14-17). The three events lead into the ITA Kick-Off Weekend, with Stanford drafted to the site in Orlando, Florida on the campus of UCF. The Cardinal opens with Tulane Jan. 29, and with a win will face the host Knights or Louisville on Jan. 30. The winner of the regional advances to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships, held in Seattle from Feb. 18-21.
The Cardinal opens February with four consecutive matchups at Taube, with USC (Feb. 5), UCLA (Feb. 6), UC Davis (Feb. 9) and California (Feb. 12) making the in-state trip. Saint Mary's visits the Farm on Feb. 26, while the Pacific Coast Doubles (March 4-6) serve as the final tune-up for Pac-12 competition.
Opening Pac-12 action at home against Utah on March 11, the Cardinal sees a pivotal early stretch on the road at USC (March 25), UCLA (March 26), Arizona (April 1) and Arizona State (April 3). Stanford wraps up its home slate with conference battles against Washington (April 8) and Oregon (April 9), and the final non-league bout of the year vs. Cal Poly (April 14). Conference play concludes April 17 at rival California.
The Pac-12 Championships will once again be held in Ojai, California, from April 20-23. The championship match will be broadcast on Pac-12 Network.
