Ali Baiocco Awarded

STANFORD, Calif - Ali Baiocco collects the first award of the year for lacrosse after being named a second team All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine. The fifth-year senior adds the honor to a long list of awards during her tenure on The Farm.

Baiocco led all Cardinal in goals last season with 50. The Harding, New Jersey native has recorded 167 goals while playing for Stanford, second all-time in program history. Baiocco is within reach of the record of 192 set by Kelsey Murray, needing 25 goals this season to tie the mark.

Last season, she earned the first All-American honors for the program in four years. Baiocco was named to the second team and became the 11th Stanford player to receive the honor.

During the 2021 season, Baiocco led the Pac-12 and was second in the nation with 6.25 points per game. She also led the league and ranked 10th nationally with 4.17 goals per game and was third in the conference with 2.08 assists per game. She had four game-winning goals on the season and twice scored eight goals in a game in 2021 – a school record.

A two-time Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week in 2021, Baiocco was a top-25 candidate for the Tewaaraton Award last season.

Baiocco and the Cardinal will begin the season on February 5 with an exhibition against UC Davis prior to an East Coast trip and games against Syracuse and Albany on February 11 and 13.
