STANFORD, Calif. - Behind a school-record 28-under 824 and a dominant 30-stroke victory, Stanford women's golf won the Stanford Regional on Wednesday to advance to NCAA Championships. The Cardinal set school records for 18 (-13, second round), 36 (-25) and 54 holes (-28) this week to advance to its 35th NCAA Championship all-time and its 11th straight.

Freshman Rachel Heck earned individual medalist honors, her fifth victory of the season. Heck's five victories are already the fourth most in school history for a career. She fired rounds this week of 68-67-67 (-11), edging out teammate Angelina Ye who finished second at 10-under. Heck became Stanford's second Regional medalist in school history, joining Albane Valenzuela who won the 2017 Albuquerque Regional. Ye put together rounds of 69-66-68 to finish second, as her and Heck went toe-to-toe all week long.

After putting together tournament-best rounds of 12-under and 13-under to start the week, Stanford fired a 3-under 281 on Wednesday, good for the second-best round of the day.

In addition to Stanford, the five advancing teams were Wake Forest (+2), Oklahoma State (+3), Virginia Tech (+4), Arizona (+5) and USC (+8).

The NCAA Championships will be played at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. from May 21-26.
