2021-22 Fan Attendance Policies

Stanford's fall sports venues will welcome full capacities for ticketed events beginning August 14. Up-to-date information regarding COVID-19 attendance policies will be sent out via email, posted on this page and shared through Stanford Athletics social media channels.

Policy Update (Apr. 4)

Beginning Apr. 4, Stanford Athletics will no longer require proof of vaccination or a negative LAMP or PCR test administered within 48 hours of the event.

Policy Update (Jan. 21)

Beginning Jan. 28, Stanford Athletics will welcome back spectators to indoor venues and remove social distanced seating and mask requirements for outdoor events. All indoor and outdoor athletic venues will be able to accommodate full capacities. Spectators attending events at Burnham Pavilion, home to Stanford's men's gymnastics, men's volleyball and wrestling programs, will now be required to show proof of Covid vaccination or a negative LAMP or PCR test administered within 48 hours of the event.

Policy Update (Jan. 4)

Stanford Athletics announced winter sports attendance policy changes due to additional COVID-19 safety precautions. Spectator attendance at all winter events taking place indoors will be temporarily reduced to a limited number of student-athlete family and guests. Spectators at outdoor events will be seated with social distancing and will be required to wear a mask.

These policy changes are effective immediately. Full spectator attendance for all events will resume as soon as appropriate, and will be communicated through Stanford Athletics' social media channels, direct emails to Season Ticket Members and on GoStanford.com/attendance.

Fans who have purchased a ticket to a Stanford Athletics event scheduled for 2022 will receive additional information about their purchase via email from athleticstickets@stanford.edu in the coming days.

Policy Update (Dec. 14)

Mega-event attendees age 3 and older will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative PCR or LAMP test. However, per recent California Department of Public Health policy changes, tests must be administered within 48 hours of the event. The previous policy allowed tests to be conducted 72 hours prior to the event.

Policy Update (Dec. 7)

The California Department of Public Health has updated its mega-event attendance policy, requiring that spectators age 3 or older (previously age 12 and older) show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours. Mega events are indoor events of 1,000 attendees or more, and outdoor events greater than 10,000 attendees. For indoor events at Maples Pavilion, all fans 3 and older will be required to show vaccination or testing proof at gates prior to entrance.

Attendance Policy Update (Sept. 28)

Stanford's fall sports venues will welcome full capacities for ticketed events. Beginning Sept. 20, spectators at events taking place in Maples Pavilion or Stanford Stadium will be required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test (PCR or LAMP) taken within 72 hours of the event's start time. Fans under the age of 12 will not be required to provide proof of vaccination or testing.

Fans at Stanford Stadium will have two options to prove their vaccination or negative test. Early verification tents will be open five hours prior to kickoff until two hours prior to kickoff, and fans who visit early verification tents will be given a wristband to enter gates through an express lane. A map of tent locations can be found here. Fans who do not visit the early verification tents will need to provide their proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test at the entrance gates. All fans at Stanford Stadium are strongly encouraged to wear masks during the event.

At Maples Pavilion, fans 12 and older will be required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test at entry gates, immediately prior to scanning their tickets.

Event attendees at other Stanford Athletics venues will be asked to complete a COVID-19 self attestation by scanning their ticket upon entering the facility. In doing so, spectators will attest that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have received a negative result on a COVID-19 test (PCR or LAMP) within 72 hours of the event date, and are not experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or have not had close contact with any individual who has tested positive in the past 14 days. Fans at outdoor facilities will be encouraged but not required to wear masks while inside the venue. Fans at indoor facilities will be required to wear masks unless actively eating or drinking.

Should event(s) be canceled or venue capacity limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, fans will have four options to reconcile their payments, based on Stanford's 100% Assured policy. More information can be found at GoStanford.com/Assured.
