STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford women's diving picked up a pair of wins in a dual meet against Harvard, Wednesday at the Maas Diving Center. It was a diving-only meet between the Cardinal and the Crimson on the women's side.
Freshman Maria Papworth led a 1-2-3-5 finish for Stanford on the 3-meter springboard to open the dual. Papworth's score of 355.73 edged teammates Carolina Sculti (338.93) and Daria Lenz (304.65) in second and third. Fellow freshman Lauren Burch rounded out the top five with a score of 292.43.
Sculti was victorious on the 1-meter springboard with a score of 305.85. She was followed by Lenz (285.83), Burch (276.08) and Papworth (275.85) in fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively.
The divers will have a quick turnaround with an appearance at the Bruin Diving Invitational, Jan. 14-16 in Los Angeles, Calif.
