STANFORD, Calif. - Freshman Mark Berlaga has been named College Gymnastics Association Specialist of the Week following his first collegiate competition last week. The native of Palo Alto, Calif. earned a share of the still rings title with a 14.200 on Saturday from the Rocky Mountain Open.
Including Berlaga's victory on rings, the Cardinal managed four event titles on Saturday to finish second at the annual competition.
