LOS ANGELES - Stanford men's basketball fell on the road at No. 7/8 UCLA on Saturday, 66-43, to conclude the road trip with a split in Los Angeles. Stanford drops to 12-7 on the season and 5-4 in Pac-12 play.
Isa Silva led the Cardinal with eight points, while Jaiden Delaire and James Keefe pitched in seven points apiece. The Cardinal outrebounded the Bruins, 39-36, continuing Stanford's victory streak on the boards. Stanford has outrebounded its opponent 17 times in 19 games this season.
The Cardinal, which entered the night with a Pac-12-leading four quadrant one wins, moves to 2-4 this season against AP top-25 opponents. The Cardinal fell behind early after a 3-for-21 start from the field, and trailed at the half, 37-18.
Resilient in the second half, the team cut the Bruin lead to 13 with 10:49 to play, 48-35, but couldn't get any closer in a low-scoring second half. Stanford held UCLA to just 29 points over the final 20 minutes, while the 66 total points are UCLA's third-lowest total of the season.
Stanford returns to action Feb. 1 against California at 7 p.m. on Pac-12 Network.
