TUCSON, Ariz. - Conor Casey earned the first Pac-12 title for Stanford Men's Swimming and Diving in the 1-meter on Thursday afternoon. The standout senior scored a 375.05 to take home the top spot on the first day of the postseason.
This marks the third year in a row that Casey has claimed the top spot on the 1-meter after also winning the Pac-12 title in 2020 and 2021. The Annandale, Virginia native is the first Cardinal diver to win three Pac-12 titles in the 1-meter in a row since Kristian Ipsen did the same from 2013 to 2015.
Casey wasn't the only Stanford student-athlete to reach the podium, either. Freshman Jack Ryan finished second-overall in the first event, just behind his Stanford teammate with a score of 367.30.
Hunter Hollenbeck finished eighth overall with a score of 252.20 in finals while Ethan Foster finished ninth in the preliminary dives, just missing out on diving in the final round.
The divers will be back in action on Friday, February 25 in the 3-meter competition.
