- No. 12 Stanford is 3-0 on the season, including two ranked wins and a pair of 4-0 sweeps at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Orlando. With wins over Tulane and then-No. 20 UCF last weekend, Stanford qualified for the ITA Indoor Championships later this month.
- Arthur Fery is the seventh ranked singles player in the country, and beat the No. 8 player from Pepperdine in the spring opener, while two doubles teams are ranked: Fery and Alexandre Rotsaert are slotted eighth, while the pair of Max Basing and Timothy Sah are 31st.
- Fery reached the championship game at the ITA Fall National Championship, and enters the weekend with a 13-2 overall mark. Classmate Aryan Chaudhary leads the team with 14 singles wins, including two wins last weekend, while nine athletes have at least three. The pair of Fery and Rotsaert also reached the championship match at ITAs, and hold a 13-3 record together.
- Stanford split with USC and UCLA last year, but swept the LA duo at home during Pac-12 play with a pair of 4-3 victories. USC at No. 8 is the only Pac-12 team ranked higher than the Cardinal in the latest ITA rankings, while UCLA at No. 23 is the lowest of four ranked Pac-12 programs.
- The Cardinal finished the 2020-21 season as Pac-12 champions in men's tennis for the first time since 2015, while the title was the program's first in outright fashion since 2003. The Cardinal went 11-6 on the season with a 6-1 mark in Pac-12 play, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Charlottesville, Virginia.
- Arthur Fery and Axel Geller return as All-Pac-12 selections from a year ago, while Geller also earned CoSIDA Academic All-America distinction.
