Conference Opener: Check

STANFORD, Calif. - No. 10 Stanford opened conference play with a win and remained unbeaten at home, blanking No. 22 Utah 4-0 on Friday afternoon at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

Playing its first dual since Feb. 26, Stanford (10-2, 1-0 Pac-12) improved to 7-0 on The Farm this season with a quick and convincing win over Utah (16-1, 0-1 Pac-12).

After capturing a hard-fought doubles point, Stanford locked up three straight-set victories in singles while Utah continued to battle and force three-setters on three courts.

With the first two matches split in doubles, the Cardinal grabbed a 1-0 lead as Max Basing and Alexandre Rotsaert outlasted Jayson Blando and Matheas Gavelin 6-4 on court three.

After Axel Geller (7-5, 6-1) and Arthur Fery (6-4, 6-2) produced wins at the top two spots of the lineup, Sangeet Sridhar made it official with a 6-2, 7-5 triumph at the No. 6 position.
