Stanford Tops Cal

BERKELEY, Calif. - No. 1 Stanford closed out the regular season scoring a 411.300, defeating California (389.600) on Saturday in Haas Pavilion.

Stanford outscored Cal on five of the six events, coming out on top on the pommel horse, still rings, floor exercise, parallel bars and vault.

Stanford freshman Khoi Young had the top scores on vault (14.900) and pommel horse (14.550). Sophomore Colt Walker posted the best score on parallel bars (14.900), while senior Bryan Perla matched his season-high on floor (14.700). Senior Thomas Lee's 14.200 was the top score on still rings and senior Ian Gunther had the best score on high bar (13.450). 

Up next, Stanford hosts the MPSF Championships on Saturday, April 2 in preparation for the NCAA Championships, being held April 15-16 in Norman, Oklahoma.
