STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford softball defeated UC Davis 11-1 in five innings on Tuesday at LaRue Field. The win is the Cardinal's (15-2) 11th in a row.
The first two Cardinal batters reached base in the top of the first, and both returned home safely for a pair of runs. Sydnee Huff drew a four-pitch walk and was brought home on a triple down the right field line by Taylor Gindlesperger. Gindlesperger scored on a RBI groundout from Emily Young.
Stanford continued its offensive output with a solo home run from Caelan Koch in the top of the second to extend the lead to 3-0. The home is Koch's second in her last three games.
The Cardinal scored in all five innings for their sixth run-rule victory in a row.
