FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Stanford men's and women's diving had five divers punch their tickets to the 2022 NCAA Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, Monday on day one of the NCAA Zone E Diving Meet.
Jack Ryan was victorious on the 3-meter with Connor Casey also grabbing an automatic-berth in the event. Carolina Sculti, Daria Lenz and Maria Papworth qualified on the 1-meter on the women's side.
Ryan, only a freshman, posted a 845.50 for the highest score on the 3-meter. Casey grabbed the final automatic spot with a fourth-place finish with a score of 780.55 – 60.60 points ahead of fifth place.
On the women's side, Sculti (618.20), Lenz (571.90) and Papworth (566.65) went 2-4-5 on the 1-meter to give Stanford three qualifiers in the event. The top seven finishers received automatic berths to the national championships.
Hunter Hollenbeck (644.15), Lauren Burch (532.35) and Julia Wortman (523.9) also qualified for the finals in their respective events.
