STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford welcomes a new director of operations for the men's soccer program in Tyler Hoffman. The fall of 2022 will be his first action with the Cardinal.
"We are very excited to welcome Tyler to our staff," said the Knowles Family Director of Men's Soccer, Jeremy Gunn. "He is a proven soccer mind, and will add new energy, ideas and drive to our program. Tyler really impressed in the search process, and while he joins us as a director of operations I am sure he will aspire to become an excellent college coach in the future."
Hoffman most recently spent time at Las Positas College as the Associate Head Coach of both the men's and women's soccer programs. In his role since 2016, he helped guide the Hawks to an overall record of 94-37-40.
Hoffman has also spent time in other coaching roles with multiple youth soccer teams, with the Oakland Roots Sports Club, and at California State University East Bay.
Prior to beginning his coaching career, Hoffman earned a master's degree in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University and his bachelor's degree in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Hawaii at Hilo. While studying in Hawaii, he competed as a soccer student-athlete, earning three Pac West Defender of the week awards.
