STANFORD, Calif. – No. 8 Stanford wrapped up its first home tournament of the weekend Sunday with wins over Saint Mary's and UC Davis.
The Cardinal started its day with a clean sweep of the Gaels, as the duo of senior Charlie Ekstrom and junior Maddi Kriz won its 10th consecutive match as a duo. Straight set victories on courts two, three, and five sealed the deal for Stanford's second win of the weekend.
To end its weekend, Stanford took on UC Davis for the third time this season and earned its third win of the weekend. Each of the two through five pairs earned a straight set victory to top the Aggies and close out the weekend. Ekstrom and Kriz did not finish their match due to a Stanford injury.
The Cardinal now preps for the upcoming Pac-12 North Beach Invitational on its home courts next weekend, with all matches slated to be broadcasted on Pac-12 Networks.
