STANFORD, Calif. – No. 14 Stanford men's tennis rolled to a 4-1 win on Friday afternoon over Washington at Taube Family Tennis Center. The Cardinal improves to 14-4 this season with a 4-2 mark in Pac-12 play.
The Cardinal got out to an early lead in doubles, winning two of the three courts. Alexandre Rotsaert and Sangeet Sridhar dispatched their ranked opponents on court two, 6-3, but Washington leveled the doubles tally with a win on court one. Max Basing and Timothy Sah picked up a 6-3 win on court three to guarantee the 1-0 advantage in the match.
Stanford picked up a trio of straight-set wins to clinch the match, exiting with a 4-1 victory. Max Basing continued his stretch of wins on court two, moving to 17-3 this season with a team-leading 12-1 mark in dual play. Sangeet Sridhar picked up a win on court four, while Aryan Chaudhary clinched his fourth matchup of the season on court five.
Stanford returns to action on Saturday against Oregon. Senior day festivities begin at noon.
