BALTIMORE - Ashley Humphrey and Ali Baiocco each earned another award on Monday as the two star attackers earned ILWomen Media All-America Honors. Humphrey secured a spot on the second team while Baiocco took home an honorable mention distinction.
The pair made Stanford's offense a nightmare for opposing defenses while marking their places among the best in Stanford, Pac-12, and NCAA history. Both Humphrey and Baiocco set program records this season, most notably Humphrey's tallies for assists in a season with 88, and points in a season with 124. Humphrey's assist total also broke the NCAA record for assists in a single season, as well as the assists per game average.
Baiocco had a stellar season in her own right, taking sole ownership of the Stanford career goals, career points, and goals in a season records. Despite missing the first three games of the season, the fifth-year player scored more goals this season than in her previous four on the farm. Ali Baiocco leaves The Farm as one of the most decorated players in program history as she adds a third ILWomen Media All-America nod to her resume.
Baiocco and Humphrey helped secure the Pac-12 regular season and Pac-12 Tournament titles for Stanford this season along with a berth to the NCAA tournament. The Cardinal's postsesaon run came to a close in the first round of the national competition against Jacksonville.
