CHICAGO and OUAGADOUGOU, Burkina Faso - Jordan Morris and Ousseni Bouda each earned a call up to their respective national teams ahead of international competition in June. This is Bouda's first call up to the Burkina Faso national team.
Bouda has had an incredibly successful 2022 so far since wrapping up his collegiate career at Stanford. The 22-year-old was drafted eighth overall by the San Jose Earthquakes in the MLS SuperDraft.
The Burkina Faso native has featured in six competitions tallying four shots so far for the Earthquakes first team. He's also seen two games with the Earthquakes II where he's netted two goals.
Meanwhile, Morris has enjoyed plenty of his own success in 2022. The Pacific Northwest native helped the Seattle Sounders clinch the Concacaf Champions League earlier this month, making them the first MLS team to ever win the international club competition.
Morris has also enjoyed a strong return to international play, featuring in six competitions for the United States Men's National Team in 2022, including one start in a 3-0 victory over Honduras. Morris' USMNT also officially qualified for the 2022 Quatar World Cup by finishing third in the Concacaf World Cup qualifying.
