STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford men's basketball freshman Harrison Ingram has withdrawn from the 2022 NBA Draft, returning to The Farm for his sophomore campaign.
Ingram became Stanford's fifth Pac-12 Freshman of the Year in program history this season, and the first since Casey Jacobsen earned the honor in 2000. After averaging 10.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game, Ingram earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention status and was on the Pac-12 All-Freshman team. He was the only Pac-12 freshman to average double figures in scoring over the course of the season.
He was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week six times, which is the second-most in Pac-12 history, and was a top-10 finalist for the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Award.
Ingram joined the Cardinal program in the fall as the ninth McDonald's All-American in program history, and gave Stanford a high school All-American signee in consecutive years for the first time in program history. He also joined head coach Jerod Haase at the FIBA U19 World Cup with the United States in Latvia, earning a gold medal over the summer.
Stanford is set to return nearly 80 percent of its scoring and minutes played from the 2021-22 season. Six of the top seven scorers will be back in 2022-23, as well as eight of the top nine leaders for minutes played. The Cardinal also welcomes graduate transfer Michael Jones from Davidson.
