Men's Golf Schedule Unveiled

STANFORD, Calif. – The Knowles Family Director of Men's Golf Conrad Ray has announced the Cardinal's 2022-23 schedule. The highlights of the schedule include The Goodwin at TPC Harding Park and the Pac-12 Championships at Stanford Golf Course.

"The schedule that we have been able to put together for the 2022-23 campaign is one of our strongest yet!" Ray said. "The team will be tested in all regions of the country and on some of the most historic golf venues out there. Playing against the best teams week in and week out is a challenge, but also sets up a strong team for success. We want to make winning a habit throughout the regular season and I think our schedule will offer competition experiences that will be lifelong memories. We are eager to get started!"

The team competition schedule begins on Sept. 16 at the Fighting Illini Invitational at Olympia Fields, but the Cardinal will take a foreign trip to Scotland from Aug. 24-Sept. 1 to truly kick off the season.

The once-in-a-lifetime trip will take the Cardinal to play Royal Troon, Western Gailes, Dundonald, Turnberry Alisa, Prestwick, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.

After the Fighting Illini Invitational, the Cardinal will team up with the women's team for the return of the annual Big Match vs. Cal at Menlo Country Club. The mixed match-play event is on Thursday, Sept. 29, and only open to members of the club and invited guests.

Stanford will look to defend its title at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational at Colonial Country Club (Oct. 3-4) before the marquee Stephens Cup at Seminole Golf Club (Oct. 10-12). The fall schedule concludes with a return to The Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate at the Lakeside Course in Alpharetta, Ga.

The spring schedule will begin with Stanford's annual trip to Hapuna Golf Course and the Amer Ari Invitational (Feb. 9-11) before cohosting The Prestige at PGA West (Feb. 20-22) with UC Davis. The Cabo Collegiate (March 5-7) will be the final event before a break for winter quarter exams.

Stanford will host the annual Goodwin on March 30-April 1 at TPC Harding Park before closing the regular season at Pasatiempo Golf Club for the Western Intercollegiate, April 10-12.

Pac-12 Championships will return to Stanford Golf Course this season, with the three-day, 72-hole event taking place from April 28-30. NCAA Regionals will be May 15-17 with the NCAA Championships (May 26-31) returning to Grayhawk Golf Club for the third and final year.

Stanford returns an exciting roster in 2022-23, led by seniors Barclay Brown, Nate Menon and Ethan Ng. Brown was the low amateur at the Open Championships. Rising junior Michael Thorbjornsen finished fourth at the Travelers Championship, among other notable finishes this summer and Karl Vilips finished fifth on the Elite Amateur Series.
