TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 7 Stanford hit .383 as a team, sweeping Arizona, 25-23, 25-22, 25-16, Friday, at the McKale Center.
The Cardinal improved to 11-4 overall and 6-1 in the Pac-12 Conference, while the Wildcats dropped to 11-7 and 1-6.
Opposite Kendall Kipp led the team with 13 kills on .458 hitting, while outside hitter Caitie Baird added nine kills on a .316 attack percentage, four digs, two blocks and two aces.

Setter Kami Miner controlled the offense with 35 assists, while libero Elena Oglivie anchored the defense with a match-high 11 digs. Sophomore defensive specialist came off the bench and had four digs.

Middle blocker McKenna Vicini hit a season-high .700 with seven kills on 10 errorless swings. Sophomore Sami Francis totaled eight kills on .400 hitting and a match-best four blocks.

Outside hitter Elia Rubin, the reigning Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, tallied eight kills, seven digs and had a career-high four aces.
Arizona was led by Sofia Maldonado Diaz, who notched 13 kills and six digs. Setter Emery Herman collected 28 assists and a team-high seven digs.
Stanford is now 73-10 all-time against Arizona and improves to 9-1 in true road matches this season.
