STANFORD, Calif. – Sophomore Kami Miner has been selected the GameChanger Division I National Player of the Week, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced today.
Miner guided Stanford to a pair of sweeps over UCLA and USC last week to claim sole possession of first place in the Pac-12 Conference at the halfway point.
The setter averaged 13.50 assists per set while controlling a Cardinal offense that combined to hit .458 on the weekend. She also posted 1.00 kills per set on .667 in the two matches.
Against the Bruins, Miner racked up 42 assists, eight digs, two kills and two blocks as the Cardinal hit .360 as a team. Versus USC, she led the Cardinal offense to its highest hitting percentage since 2013 (.605). Miner had 39 assists and matched her season-high with four kills and had an ace as Stanford won its 10th straight over the Trojans.
Stanford's .605 team hitting percentage was the second-highest in the NCAA this season, the fifth-highest in Pac-12 history and the highest between Pac-12 opponents in the rally-scoring era (2001-present).
The first national weekly award for Miner, it is the first for the Cardinal since 2018 and 20th overall.
Stanford begins the second half of conference play on the road this week, traveling to Washington State on Friday and No. 19 Washington on Sunday.
