Four Featured with America East Honors

BOSTON, Mass. – With the regular season in the books and the conference tournament on the horizon, four Stanford field hockey players have garnered All-America East honors. Megan Frost was selected to the first team, Cara Sambeth was named to the second team, Anna Ghuliani was on the All-Rookie squad, and the duo of Frost and Isabelle Pilson were chosen to the All-Academic team.

Frost earns her third consecutive All-America East honor, and her first choice to the first team after earning second team accolades in 2020 and 2021. Additionally, Frost was named to the All-Academic team for the second season in a row. The senior from Charlotte, North Carolina has been one of the most impactful midfielders in the conference, starting 15 of 16 games in the center of the field.

Continuing her strong play as a sophomore, Sambeth tallied her second All-America East second team accolade in a row. The Munich, Germany native has scored one goal with three assists this season from the back line, and she enters the conference tournament with points in three of the last four outings. She is one of three players to start all 16 games.

One of just two backs to be selected to the America East All-Rookie team, Ghuliani has been a mainstay on the right side of the Cardinal defense. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Ghuliani helped the Cardinal to five shutouts while starting 15 of 16 games.

Gifted on the field as she is in the classroom, Pilson earned her third consecutive Academic Team honor from the conference, with Stanford one of four schools to have multiple honorees on the 11-player list. Pilson has scored two goals this season while helping guide Stanford's staunch defense from her position as an outside back.

Stanford opens the America East Tournament on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 9 a.m. PT against Vermont. The entire slate of games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
