KAILUA KONA, Hawaii – Day two of the Pac-12 Preview at Nanea Golf Club featured tougher conditions and higher scores, but No. 1 Stanford women's golf was up for the challenge and turned a four-shot deficit at the beginning of the day into a nine-stroke lead to end the day. The Cardinal is at 14-under 570 through 36 holes, with second-place Oregon at 5-under. Stanford and Oregon were the only two programs under par on Tuesday, both firing matching 1-under 291s, with USC's round of 5-over the third-best of the day.

Sophomore Rose Zhang started the day tied for third. but a 3-under 70 helped her climb to the top spot on the leaderboard with 18 holes to play. She leads Oregon's Ashleigh Park by two shots. Her 12 birdies through 36 holes leads the field by two. 

Freshman Megha Ganne shot a 1-under 72 on Tuesday and now sits tied for sixth with senior Brooke Seay. Both golfers are at 3-under. Junior Sadie Englemann is tied for 15th at 1-over through two rounds.

Stanford leads the field in Par 3 scoring (-2) and is tied at the top in Par 4 scoring (+14). The Cardinal has also taken advantage of the five Par 5s at Nanea, tallying a combined score of 14-under on those holes. Stanford has 37 birdies (best in field) and 111 pars (third-best) through two rounds. 

Wednesday's third round will be a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. PT/7:30 a.m. HT. The Cardinal will play with Oregon, Arizona and Arizona State.
