Two All-Pac-12 Nods for Bryant

SAN FRANCISCO - Super senior Kyla Bryant was named an All-Pac-12 First Team member on floor and an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention selection in all-around, the conference announced Wednesday.

The all-conference accolades follow last Monday's announcement of Bryant earning a finalist designation for the AAI Award, known as the Heisman Trophy of collegiate gymnastics.

Bryant concluded her season ranked sixth in the conference on floor by posting an NQS of 9.925. Bryant matched her career-best score of 9.975 in Stanford's meet with UCLA, clinching the Cardinal's first dual-meet win over the Bruins since 2016. The Athens, Ga. native finished the regular-season and conference championship competition with ten floor routines of 9.900 or better and four event titles.

Bryant's all-around NQS of 39.395 ranked eighth in the conference and tied-for-24th nationally. The super senior totaled a career-best 39.675 in Stanford's 2022 season-opener at California.

As a super senior, Bryant recorded new career bests on vault (9.925), beam (9.975), and all-around, while matching her career-best scores on bars (9.95) and floor (9.975) in nine 2022 regular-season meets.

The All-Pac-12 First Team consists of the top six all-around performers, and top six performers in each individual event (including ties) based on national qualifying scores. All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention consists of seventh- and eighth-place performances in each individual event and the all-around (including ties) based on national qualifying scores.

Stanford wrapped up its regular season ranked No. 29 nationally, boasting an NQS of 196.415. The Cardinal travels to Seattle, Wash. to compete in the NCAA Regionals hosted by the University of Washington, first competing as a team in a round one meet against San José State on March 30.
