COLUMBUS, Ohio - Jacklyn Luu was named Athlete of the Year for the second year in a row by USA Artistic Swimming. She capped off her Stanford career with an impressive fifth-year campaign.
Throughout her time on The Farm, Luu claimed three individual national titles in 2021, capturing the U.S. Collegiate Nationals team, solo, and duet trophies. She also earned her fifth Collegiate All-American award this year, bringing home the individual honor each year since 2018.The fifth-year senior also earned the gold medal at the 2019 collegiate nationals in the Tech A Elements event.
Luu's success wasn't limited to the pool. She also earned the Collegiate Academic Award in 2021 for her efforts in the classroom and she'll graduate from Stanford this spring with a degree in psychology.
Luu's athletic career will continue, as she was just named to the USA Artistic Swimming Senior Team roster. She won't be the only Cardinal among the national team either, as Stanford head coach Megan Abarca has been selected to lead the Junior National Team this summer as well.
