Segal Signs with FC Köln

COLOGNE, Germany - Gabe Segal will join the Bundesliga team FC Köln ahead of the 2022-23 season, the forward announced over the weekend. Segal played three season for Stanford beginning his career in the fall of 2019.

"I'm very excited to announce my signing with FC Köln," said Segal. "Joining this amazing club is a huge opportunity and I hope to take full advantage of it."

The Bethesda, Maryland native finishes his career as a Pac-12 Champion, an All-Pac-12 selection, and a two-time Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll member. During his time on The Farm, Segal played in 54 games, starting 22, and tallied 33 points from 14 goals and five assists.

Segal was instrumental in Stanford Pac-12 Championship run during the 2020-21 season. The forward appeared in all 14 matches and started each while adding six goals and two assists to rank third on the team in points with 14. Segal was a part of a Stanford offense that ranked top-10 nationally in total goals (30), total assists (32) and total points (92).

"I want to thank everybody at Stanford for helping me make some of the best memories of my life," added Segal.  "I will forever be grateful for the time spend with everybody in the Stanford Men's Soccer family and all my amazing friends off the field."
