STANFORD, Calif. – NBA World Champion Golden State Warriors play-by-play radio voice Tim Roye will call the majority of Stanford Football's games on KNBR Radio in 2022 as Stanford works to replace longtime play-by-play voice Scott Reiss '93, who left for a job at KCTV in Kansas City earlier this month. John Platz '84 will continue to serve as color analyst this season during football broadcasts.
Dave Raymond '94, Stanford alum and TV play-by-play voice of the Texas Rangers, is expected to call the games in 2022 when Roye has prior Warriors commitments.
Roye joined the Warriors radio team in 1995 and has called games ever since, first on KNBR and since on 95.7 The Game. He has been on the call for the Warriors 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022 NBA Championships. Raymond is in his fifth year as the primary play-by-play announcer for the Texas Rangers' television broadcasts on Bally Sports Southwest.
