LOS ANGELES - The Cardinal finished up a strong first diving competition of 2023 on Sunday with a sixth-place finish on the platform from Ethan Foster. The junior diver was the sole competitor for Stanford in the third and final diving event of the weekend.

Foster finished the preliminary round in fourth place after scoring a 321.20, just over a point behind the third place finisher. In the final round, Foster closed out the event with a 631.55 to claim sixth overall.

Stanford dove well throughout the weekend, with sophomore Jack Ryan taking home two silver medals on the 1-meter and 3-meter, while Peyton Donald added a fourth-place finish on the 1-meter. To go along with Foster's sixth place finish on the platform, he also took eighth overall in the final round of the 3-meter competition.

The Cardinal is back in dual meet action at Arizona State on January 20.
