Stanford Falls To Tufts

STANFORD, Calif. - No. 11 Stanford dropped a 6-3 decision to No. 12 Tufts on Wednesday afternoon in its lone home match of the season.

For the second straight match, Stanford swept the top three spots of the lineup, receiving victories from Si Yi Ma, Khushi Kukadia and Lucia Bicknell. Despite playing short-handed and with a lineup featuring seven underclassmen, the Cardinal was competitive on several other courts.

After producing a team-best 14-1 record last year while becoming Stanford's first Holleran Cup champion since Madeleine Gill in 2013, Ma is now unbeaten in three matches this season.

Stanford's busy stretch continues this weekend, hitting the road to face No. 22 Bates, No. 16 Bowdoin, No. 10 Dartmouth and No. 20 Colby.
