Bing Stars for United States National Team

WELLINGTON, New Zealand – Former Stanford All-American and CSC Academic All-American Kelsey Bing '19 continues to star in her post-collegiate playing career, competing for the United States national team in the FIH Pro League this winter.

Bing has helped steer the United States to five points over four matches, including a sensational effort in a shootout victory over New Zealand and a victory over China, 2-0.

Bing held New Zealand off the board in a shootout win 1-1 (2-0), making two saves and forcing two additional shots wide during the stroke off. Her efforts in goal against China gave the American squad its first shutout of the international competition.

The goalkeeper has made 49 appearances for her country between the posts, including three consecutive seasons in the FIH Pro League. The United States finished ninth in each of the previous two campaigns, and currently sits tied for sixth in the 2023 table.

The United States will play three more matches in March in Hobart, Australia, against Argentina (March 1 and March 5) and Australia (March 4), before a break until the summer.
