STANFORD, Calif. - A yearly list showcasing the best of the best in college athletics, Hannah Jump has been named an Academic All-American, earning second-team status by the College Sports Communicators, anounced Wednesday.

Jump is the 14th different player to earn the honor, the 17th awarded to the Cardinal all-time. Stanford has now featured at least one Academic All-American in three straight seasons.

Boasting a 3.75 GPA and set to graduate this spring with an undergraduate degree in psychology, Jump has dedicated herself both in and out of the classroom to improve each of her four years on The Farm. Earning All-Pac-12 honors from the league coaches this season for the first time in her career, Jump has started all 33 games for the Cardinal and currently ranks eighth nationally with 94 3-pointers made, leading the conference, with an average of 2.85 3's made per game, ranking 16th in the country. She recently surpassed the 1,000 career milestone in the regular season finale at Utah and has reached single-season bests in points, assists and 3-point percentage this season. She is two 3-pointers away from tying the program record for single-season makes from deep. 

Jump is currently fourth in program history and ninth in Pac-12 history with 277 career 3-pointers. A 43.5 percent shooter this season, ranking eighth nationally, her 41.9 career percentage would be third all-time at Stanford. The Cardinal is 47-2 the past four years when Jump scores in double figures.

Jump and the rest of the Cardinal open the NCAA Tournament on Friday, March 17 against either Sacred Heart or Southern at 4:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
