All-MASC Awards

STANFORD, Calif. - Si Yi Ma, Miriam Cheng and Khushi Kukadia earned all-conference honors in Stanford's first year in the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference, the conference announced Thursday.

Cheng picked up Co-Freshman of the Year honors earlier in the week and was named a first team selection. Ma joined Cheng on with first eam honors and Kukaida was selected for the second team.

Freshman Cheng went 6-2 on the season, playing in the second position to round out the season. Cheng picked up important wins over Dickinson and Georgetown to help Stanford place third in the MASC Championship. The freshman also swept her match against Tufts to secure a third-place Kurtz Cup finish.

A junior, Ma went 12-2 on the season and was undefeated for the regular season in the No. 1 spot in the lineup.

As a freshman, Kukadia occupied the No. 2 and 3 spots for the Cardinal and went 11-2 on the season. She advanced to the semifinal of the Holleran East Cup at the CSA National Individual Championship.

The Cardinal finished third in the Kurtz Cup at CSA Team Nationals and completed an impressive turnaround after a winless 2022 season. After finishing 0-11 last season, Stanford took a major step forward in 2023 despite regularly featuring a starting lineup that included seven freshmen. The Cardinal also delivered a third-place finish at the MASC Championships in its first year as a member school.
