  • No. 6 Stanford is back on the road this week after a Pac-12 series sweep over Oregon State last week.
  • Stanford will kick off the week on Wednesday at Cal State Fullerton. The Cardinal has a 16-4 record over the Titans. The two last faced off in 2013 where Stanford run-ruled Fullerton 14-1 in five innings.
  • The Cardinal will then head up to face the Bruins for a conference series. UCLA have a 68-23 advantage in the history of the two teams, but Stanford took the last series 2-1 in early April at home.
  • The Cardinal have had one of the best starts in program history, only losing 3 games in 30 matchups. The last time Stanford had a start like this was in 2009, where the team went 21-9, and 26-4 in 2010.
  • In conference play, Stanford has won both series against #20 Oregon and Oregon State, sweeping the latter and run-ruling them in two games.
  • Stanford recorded the second longest win streak in program history with 21 ending when it lost to Oregon in game two of the conference series. The longest win streak came in 2009 where the Cardinal won 28 straight games.
  • Stanford's pitching staff is dominant in the circle and is led by NiJaree Canady and Alana Vawter. The Cardinal has a team ERA of 1.29 which is fourth in the nation, having allowed only 37 runs across 30 games.
  • The Cardinal has built itself this season off of its defense and pitching.
  • Stanford has a .986 fielding percentage which is second in the nation behind Oklahoma (.991).
  • The Cardinal ranks sixth nationally in triples per game (.47) with 14 overall.
  • Two weeks agon on Sunday against Oregon, Taylor Gindlesperger broke the program career record of triples with her 23rd in the top of the fifth.
