PROVO, Utah – Stanford men's tennis wrapped up its non-conference slate in triumphant fashion, besting BYU, 5-2, on Thursday afternoon.
The Cardinal (11-5) won the doubles point with 6-3 wins on courts two and three. Arthur Fery and Anders Matta provided the opening win, while Max Basing and Aryan Chaudhary were seconds behind with an identical victory.
The Cougars fought back to take a 2-1 in singles play before Fery wrapped up a three-set win in the first position, including a 6-0 third set. Neel Rajesh gave the Cardinal a three-set win of his own, while Chaudhary provided the clincher in the fifth position, 6-2, 6-4.
Kolasinski added a final win on court six in straight sets.
Stanford resumes Pac-12 action on Friday, March 31 at Utah. The first serves are set for 2 p.m. PT.
