Krause No-Hitter

FULLERTON, Calif. -- Regan Krause turned in a brilliant performance on Wednesday, throwing a no-hitter and striking out seven to lead No. 6 Stanford over CSU Fullerton 8-0 in five innings at Anderson Family Field.

Krause (8-2) added her second no-hitter and fourth shutout of the season, the 16th shutout for Stanford this year. The right-hander struck out seven and walked one for Stanford (28-3, 5-1 Pac-12).

At the plate, the Cardinal was led by Kaitlyn Lim, who went 2-for-3 on the day with two doubles and four RBI. The senior tied her single game record in RBI and recorded her first game with multiple doubles in her career.

Emily Schultz put together a standout performance at the dish as well, going 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI. Taylor Gindlesperger also contributed for Stanford, putting together one hit in two trips to the plate while adding a double.

Schultz's double got the Cardinal on the board in the second, scoring Emily Young. In the top of the third, Lim and Schultz drove in four more runs, bringing the score up to 5-0. Allie Clements tacked on one more run to end the frame.

Lim's two RBI double in the fourth gave the Cardinal the runs required to run-rule the Titans 8-0, it's ninth run-rule win of the season.
