STANFORD, Calif. - Freshman Asher Hong has been named CGA co-Rookie of the Week, it was announced on Wednesday. This week marks the fifth National Rookie of the Week selection for Hong.
The native of Tomball, Texas finished third on floor (14.150) and still rings (14.400) in a tri-meet against No. 6 Illinois and No. 10 California last week.
Hong, a member of the U.S. Senior National Team, currently ranks No. 1 in the nation on still rings and parallel bars, is No. 2 on vault and No. 5 on floor exercise. He is also the top-ranked freshman in the nation on rings, parallel bars, vault and floor.
