STANFORD, Calif. - No. 14 Stanford controlled the match from start to finish, dominating San Francisco 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon at Taube Family Tennis Center. The win improves the Cardinal to 9-2 on the year.
The Cardinal swept through the doubles point, featuring a pair of 6-0 victories on courts two and three and another 6-2 win on court win.
In singles, Stanford featured another new lineup, getting its first win from Alexandra Yepifanova on three, followed by Angelica Blake on two and Valencia Xu on four for the clincher. Emma Sun tallied a straight set win on six before Stanford's sixth win of the day from Sara Choy in a 10-point tiebreak third set. Connie Ma was the lone loss for Stanford, coming back to force a super tiebreak third set but falling, 10-8.
